The Part-Time Coordinator assists in the supervision and coordination of production and development of instructional and promotional material for distribution in an academic environment; including but not limited to, video production, graphic design, multimedia authoring, and special event support. Supervises and coordinates imaging, securing, installing, and maintaining computer equipment.

  • Assists in the management of day to day operations
  • Supervises and ensures implementation of College Standards on recommended multimedia equipment, software and other related items
  • Supervises and ensures accuracy in the maintenance of computer hardware and troubleshooting of software
  • Trains new and existing staff on departmental procedures and responsibilities
  • Delegates workload to other part-time staff and assists in developing work schedules, resource allocation, and project deadlines
  • Ensures staffing needs are met for supporting the Campus educational support services and special events and programs
  • Clears printer queues
  • Adds computers and printers to domains
  • Receives and processes trouble tickets
  • Performs standard equipment set-ups; such as, computers, overhead and data projectors, TV And VCR units, slide projectors, document cameras, multi-media carts, and other associated media equipment
  • Performs basic troubleshooting of multimedia delivery systems
  • Provides basic support In academic setting
  • Performs basic departmental functions; such as, locating materials, answering questions, and directing clients
  • Supports asset management processes
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and three (3) years of related experience; or Associates degree and five (5) years of related experience
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge of multimedia equipment including projectors, sound systems, mixing boards, polycom systems, video cameras, and photography
  • Knowledge of maintaining and installing computer equipment and peripherals
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • This function/position has been designated as essential. This means that when the College is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the College
