Position Type: Part-Time Professional External Position: Yes Part-Time Administrative Assistant to the Dean Functions as a generalist within assigned areas of responsibility Prepares comprehensive reports, conducts special research projects Assists in the coordination and execution of events Serves as resource person to key department and campus councils or committees Responds on behalf of the Office of the Dean on matters related to the department Serves as liaison with the department chairs, faculty, staff, and students in addressing concerns Represents the Dean on College campus-wide committees and task forces on campus events & activities, as directed Performs other duties as assigned Skills / Requirements Bachelors degree and three (3) years of office administration experience or related field All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written) Possess computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications Ability to respond effectively to the needs of the campus and College community Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
