Part-Time Administrative Assistant to the Dean

  • Functions as a generalist within assigned areas of responsibility
  • Prepares comprehensive reports, conducts special research projects
  • Assists in the coordination and execution of events
  • Serves as resource person to key department and campus councils or committees
  • Responds on behalf of the Office of the Dean on matters related to the department
  • Serves as liaison with the department chairs, faculty, staff, and students in addressing concerns
  • Represents the Dean on College campus-wide committees and task forces on campus events & activities, as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

    Skills / Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and three (3) years of office administration experience or related field
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Possess computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to respond effectively to the needs of the campus and College community
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
