The Adjunct Faculty member teaches American Sign Language courses as well as Interpretation and Deaf Education courses to students in the Associate in Science program

  • Teaches courses
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits students
  • Performs other duties as assigned

  • Skills / Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Interpreter Training or Deaf Education from a regionally accredited institution, or Master's Degree and 18 graduate semester hours in Sign Language or Interpreter Training for teaching transferable credit courses from a regionally accredited institution
  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution, plus State/National certification, appropriate experience and demonstrated proficiency may be used to qualify for teaching non-transferable credit courses
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
  • Must be able to function well in a technological environment
  • POSITIONS MAY BE AVAILABLE AT VARIOUS CAMPUS LOCATIONS
