The Academic Lab Manager organizes, controls, and supervises the general workflow of the day-to-day operation within an educational technology environment; to include but not limited to, maintenance of equipment, quality control, pricing, and purchasing. Provides professional customer service with students, tutors, advisors, faculty, and administrators to support students development and improvement of specific skills.
Skills / RequirementsBachelors degree and five (5) years of experience in classroom and/or lab instructional settings; or Masters degree and one (1) year of experience in classroom and/or lab instructional settingsAll educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institutionAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulationsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions form groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization existsAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule formAbility to supervise, in a manner conducive to full performance and high moraleAbility to promote and maintain effective working relationshipsAbility to work effectively in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
